Meet Your Huntington Park Orthodontist
One of my greatest childhood memories is the excitement I felt the day I went to the orthodontist to get my braces were removed. I fell in love with my smile, and as I got older, I wanted to provide others with that same feeling of happiness and satisfaction.
I attended the University of California, Los Angeles for my undergraduate education, and received my bachelor’s degree in psychology. I continued my graduate studies at the UCLA School of Dentistry, and became involved with community outreach programs for children. I moved to Boston to complete my orthodontic training at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received a Master of Medical Science in oral biology.
During my free time, I love to travel, paint, and spend time with my family!

I am so fortunate to be an orthodontist because I get to be a part of many unique smile journeys. Walking through a patient's transformation and watching as their faces light up is my absolute favorite aspect of orthodontics and a reminder that confidence is life-changing.
I understand that building a tailored smile takes time and developing a trusting relationship with my patients is the highlight of my day. I believe in conservative orthodontics and treating each patient with compassion and respect. I am excited to be my patient's biggest cheerleader, friend, and professional smile-doc.

Why an Orthodontist in Huntington Park?
Orthodontist vs. Dentist
An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an Orthodontist. All orthodontists are dentists first, but though not every dentist has the qualifications to be an orthodontist. Dr. Heo continued her formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving the necessary license and certification. As an orthodontist, Dr. Heo has spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan.
Why does it matter if you see your Huntington Park Orthodontist?
Specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic problems. Dentists receive basic orthodontic training which allows them to perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treat young children who do not need to see an orthodontist yet.
Seeing a specialist like your Huntington Park orthodontist may change your experience in braces by:
- Providing additional treatment options.
- Giving you more efficient treatment and visits, because it is the office's primary area of care.
- Knowing that you'll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have severe bite problems that need to be addressed.
- Personal experience treating multiple cases that share your unique concerns
- Being seen more quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.
- You may think it's easier to have your orthodontic work completed by your dentist. Convenience shouldn't be a concern, because you will only be stopping by your Huntington Park orthodontist's offices every six to eight weeks.
And don't let price be a problem either! Dr. Lili & Associates is proud to provide affordable treatment in the Huntington Park area.
